While I certainly would appreciate any offer, I'd think that $50 come a little shy assuming an upgrade was used. Upgrades are expensive with both miles and a possible fee (J.Edward is having to dole out $900 and 50,000 miles to move his poor and starving student self *cough* *cough* up to BF for an upcoming EWR-HKG trip!) ergo, I believe it is a fair expatiation to be treated equally to other BF passengers. But, should the seat not work I'd expect a refund of the oneway miles and the upgrade fee as the "integrity-protected" BF product did not deliver in it's entirety and CO did not deliver fully on their promise (a 170 degree recline). If CO expects me to keep my side of the deal ($450 + 25,000 miles for a one way upgrade) my expiation is they uphold theirs (a full BF experience).
