I didn't count the seats or even walk to the back of the plane, but I'm tempted to believe the flight attendants, who looked up the figure in their book. It wasn't an off-the-cuff response. Furthermore, how can the same number of seats (approximately) be put into a plane 24 feet shorter, when the row spacing seems about the same? I'm not trying to get into an argument; I really don't know what the truth is -- and I have no stake in the answer, in any case.
Obviously, someone out there really KNOWS the answer to this question. Can we get some help from Delta people?
