The flight in question is the DL flight 1180 at 5:10pm on Dec 21 vs. the NW flight 2936 at 5:35pm on Dec 21st. My son has a friend traveling on the 5:35pm flight and wanted to sit with him (her?) but I said "$45 cheaper, you fly Delta!". He was willing to put up with a jungle jet and a friend over a 737 alone...
