There is a bit of a contradiction in your first post... you want to fly BE on internatioanl flights, but you don't like the systemwides and the NAMUs will be an improvment? Personally, I have no problem at all getting the BE award seats I want, with a little flexibility in dates and times. As for paid seats, I know several people who always book their paid BE travel 4-7 days before the flight and never have any trouble getting a seat. Award seats and revenue seats are in different fare inventories, so you should not be unable to buy a seat because someone has used it to upgrade.

In any case, and giving ljm the benefit of the doubt, that is certainly the clearest and strongest statment of support for new Delta's policy. It brings the score to something like 200-1.
