If I do a reward stay at the Renaissance Harborplace in Baltimore using cash/points to upgrade to the club level, do I get into the lounge? (I'm only a silver member). The reason I ask is that I'm having Lasek done at Johns Hopkins in the spring and will be somewhat incapacitated for several days (the wife will be there caring for me). We would like a nice place to stay and access to food close by would be great.
Any comments? Thanks!
One of the benefits of being on a club/concierge floor, whether you are paying for it or are upgraded as a plat or gold or for any other reason, is access to the lounge. There is no reason why this property would be an exception to the rule. If you are uneasy over this, however, be sure to contact the hotel in advance, and upon confirmation that you will have lounge access, have them add a note to your reservation to that effect. Good luck on your procedure. Never been to the lounge at the Ren; the lounge at the Marriott Waterfront is way above average in view, vittles, and furnishings. Hope that the Ren is similar.
