I was playing around a little bit with the online award booking function.
It is very difficult to get flights, I was trying Taipei - Seoul for February, it waitlisted both flights and then asked to deduct 75.000 miles for economy class (peak season). That's quite excessive.
From Vancouver to Bangkok via TPE in March it waitlisted both YVR-TPE, TPE-YVR and asked for 100.000 miles in economy (150.000 miles peak season).
Tried the same on Star Alliance, confirmed all flights and that would take only 75.000. Quite a big difference.
