Tell me about the QF miles.... and after the Great Mileage Robbery of May 05 it got even worse. I seem to remember that QF did not have a megabonus for Concorde either so I never posted my R class to that programme.

Yep, QF does have worse earnings on some carriers, better on others. It does have worse redemption bands as well, for long haul in particular. However, there are a few advantages to the QF programme when booking BA flights. Sorry, not saying before they withdraw them! Oh, and they do charge a booking fee of 2500 miles for flying on BA as well. This is because the systems are "incompatible" to the extent that the agent can see and book on their screen but you cannot on your weblink. A bit like BA.con in that case!
