We have been to most Marriott's in the Carribbean and prefer Curacao. We enjoyed St.Kitts, Cayman's, Puerto Rico and Aruba, but the beach and the amenities of Curacao are great. It is a small resortish feel hotel not a big monolith like some. Getting around is easy. Renting a car and driving is fun though you do not need to rent a car. I snorkeled every day somtimes just from the beach in front of the hotel and yes the dive shop is great. It is a tough decision and I do agree with another poster that the Puerta Vallarta Marriott is a wonderful hotel ,but the beach is rocky and not up to par. Further north or south of the hotel the beach is much better.
