Interesting thread. I've only had one "unknown" to me international travel companion so far. Went to SIN and hooked up with another FTer I'd never met. Everything went fine.

But I could easily see how things could get stressful if a selfish person couldn't even let you know at least a few days in advance they would be a no show.

How unbelievably rude.

I curious if there was any hints in reading their posts or PMs that they might be that self absorbed?

I would hate for it to happen, but would probably plan on it if I didn't have a track record with them.

On my trip, we each booked our own room at the same place, so it wouldn't have been as trying.
