If your parents are really serious with this, they might also want to make sure not to stay with you in the same hotel floor or house at your destination, not to cross busy streets together, not to ride together in one vehicle etc.

Unfortunately, life has a mortality rate of 100%. But if your parents really believe that flying is particularly dangerous, they maybe should not fly at all and instead look at other means of transportation they are more comfortable with.
