I've been part of points.com since they started some time in 2000+/-. When they started, you would get the first trade free, and subsequent charged for each trade. My Gold account expired in May but i was given a comp extention for for an additional few months, ending in September.

Where I'm confused (and they STILL HAVEN'T ANSWERED MY QUESTION about this) right now if you're not Gold, you can do a trade and not get charged a fee. If you want to pay the $99 a year to be Gold, the only benefit I see is getting extra entries into any sweepstakes and bonuses (once again confused about where/what these bonuses are they speak of).

I will not renew because the exchange rates are not a good value, with the exception of trades into either Hawaiian Airlines or Asia Miles. It's only really good for combining those orphan miles that are just sitting there. But 10,000 Alaska MP ==> USAIR DM 1,400 ??? "Confucious Say Points.com High On Crack"
