Last august, I flew IST-JFK-MEX-JFK-IST on DL. JFK-MEX was a DL carrier. Other than the two-hour-delay (one hour in the gate, one hour in the plane) that fight was very nice. It was a fully booked flight but the FAs were very kind. And I do not remember anything bad about the food. I was flying Y.

MEX-JFK was on AM Carrier. It was again a fully booked flight. There was no delay but it was a horrible flight for me. The FAs forgot about economy class for the first two hour and the last two. It was a four-hour-flight. They just remembered us during meal time. They didn't even answer my calls for a glass of water to take my medicine.

My complain letter was answered by DL stating that they were doing their best to improve service of AM and they were really for my complains. They gave me 5000 Bonus SkyMiles.

So, choose DL Carrier if you can. I had to take AM Flight to catch our connection to IST from JFK. But I am sure that I will never use AM in the future. MX yes, AM no.
