Actually, it was just the 777 orders which were deferred indefinitely by DL due to the lack of a pay scale agreement for the a/c type. The 764 was still very much in development and wouldn't have been delivered until this month, if the strike had not occurred. So the orders of those a/c were not an issue, as DL mgmt and pilots have six months after a new a/c type debuts to reach an agreement on pay.

As I said, I was in SEA over the holiday weekend, and between the three facilities @ Renton, Boeing Field, and Paine, there were 8 Delta jets on display. Five of the eight were painted, with three 738s in Renton having just the rudder painted.

I suspect the 764 I spotted @ Boeing Field will be the first delivery to DL next month, as my friend saw it take to the skies on Saturday morning for some testing, no doubt. She lives due east of Boeing Field, and sees all the good stuff on departure.
