You know of course that L1011 means late 10 out of 11 times in take off.

In Boston I had two in a row breakdown at the gate resulting in cancelled flights. I was well protected though and got home that day.

Once airborne L1011s are very comfortable. I recommend Frequent Flyer by Bob Reiss. He spent 72 consecutive flight hours in Delta ship 714 just to write his book. My copy was read with approval by a retired L1011 pilot.
