Just came across another thread about the horrible exchange rate using Points.com. Even though I haven't following the recent
development of Points.com, I've been reading "horror" stories from the board in the last one and half years. That gives me the idea to start this thread. This should give the miles newbies or those potential members a good pointer whether Points.com is a good enough program to join by seeing people renewing memberships or not.
Let me start by saying, in the last year, I had contacted Points.com
numerous times via email and phone calls in order to straight things out. To make the long story short, if I had been satisfied, I would have renewed my membership. So my own vote is based on my personal experience with Points.com.
Here's my answers to the poll:
1. Points.com Membership Year: May 2004-May 2005.
2. Customer Services Contact: Emails and Phone calls.
3. Membership paid: $19.95
4. Renewal: NO#1 (so the next no-renewal will be NO#2..etc)

Even though my original poll is about past membership renewal with Points.com, it seems some fellow FTers that joined Points so recently do care enough to chime in their thoughts. Thus I added this OT subpoll count on 11/27/2005.
