Op-Up is an operational upgrade where Y is oversold - if there are seats available in C or F, pax from Y are upgraded one class to open space in Y.
How to get one? It is based on timing (i.e. higher chance in busy vacation seasons IMO), type of flight (I had more luck with intl' flights) and your MP status of course.
