I just called the hotel and they told me they would not honor the rate. They said all I have is a reservation and they canceled it without any problems. I am already in Caracas, though, so now I have to figure out what to do to entertain myself instead. Because the weather prognosis for the upcoming week was so poor for Isla Margarita I decided that I didnt want to go and argue for a cheap rate in a place that is only about the beach to begin with. If someone actually gets them to honor this, please let us all know, but in the meantime I would not recommend that anyone make travel plans based on this rate.
