Phew ... glad you're out there to be our guinea pig, Seeksreal. I just let my cheapie $578.15 r/t airfare reservation expire last night, waiting to see what would happen to you. Guess I'll log onto Travelocity now and cancel the HoJo reservation as well.

I don't know if you are the outdoorsy type, but I would consider getting out of Caracas (asap, before they discover you aren't Canadian ) and going to visit Angel Falls.

To me this situation is interesting - HoJo posted the mistake rate, so they ought to honor it. But it seems like in these cases, the actual hotel itself which is affected has the Last Word - after all, you have to show up and check-in, and that's the point where they can say "Well meester, zee rate ees 70 US dollares, not 70 bolivares. If you don't like, you can sleep out on zee playa ... "
