Bring several good books to read!

Kuwait, although clean and orderly is not exactly an exciting place. The shopping is sub-par for the region. There are movie theatres which is Kuwait's big distinction over Saudi Arabia. Actually the biggest distinction that I found was that the Kuwaiti's smiled a lot more than the Saudis do - perhaps they are not so ernst, but probably their more relazed society is the cause.

Anyway, you won't find bars or clubs, nor can you import or buy liquor unless you have diplomatic cover or can access one of the US military bases.

The souk (traditional market) is interesting if you have never been to one. Going up the tower is interesting. I found the pictures on display with their captions concerning the Iraqi Occupational period to be most interesting.

I have only been once and decided I was happy to have gone there, but don't need to reutrn. Perhaps you will discover something that makes me want to go back.
