Flying East, I generally try to salvage as much of the night as possible and skip all meals to get as much sleep as possible.
Flying West, I generally stay awake and go to bed shortly after arrival to convert myself into a fully rested morning person.
Anytime total travel time will be over 10 or so hours though, I try to take several little 2 hour naps both to get some needed rest and to begin confusing my regular patterns.
Those are just generalities though. Things change based on how tired I am at the time.
