This benefit apparently extends to employees family, friends, neighbors and anyone who might know an Ac employee.
I am often amazed at how many J class seats are taken by employees. It is not uncommon to see the employees, in uniform and not out-numbering the paying passengers. It becomes even worse when they hold impromptu union meetings during the flight.
You are not even talking about the same thing as everyone else. The employees you are talking about are deadheading crew who are booked on the flight and with the exception of the Captain are space available upgrade to J class. They do not go ahead of the paying passengers and are only upgraded after everyone on a vaild upgradable fare who is on the list is upgraded.
