Have an hours nap after lunch by all means, but don't sleep on.
Go to bed early the first night and then take advantage of your naturally early rising the next morning to go to Tsukiji or go visit a sumo stable for early morning practice.
Alas, I spend the trip home awake, go to sleep an hour or two earlier than usual and then go to work the next morning

Never had jet lag that way. And neither did either of my parents when I dragged them along with me last month.
