DL has filed final comments with the DOT seeking authority to operate flights between the United States and Brazil.

The carrier is seeking approval to operate seven daily nonstop service between New York and Sao Paulo, Brazil, with continuing service to Montevideo, Uruguay; and three-days-per-week service between New York and Rio de Janeiro.

If DL is awarded the frequencies, they will offer the first and only single-plane service between New York and Uruguay.
