The seaplanes to Vancouver Island were cancelled today because of this. I've booked for tomorrow now, fingers crossed - I really want to try one! Shame as it was so lovely Thurs/Fri (which at least meant we got up Grouse Mountain for some fantastic clear views!).

If you cannot get to Vancouver Island, you could try for the San Juans Islands for a seaplane experience. There are regular services between Renton (same airport as the Boeing plant on the south tip of Lake Washington), and Roche Harbour and Friday Harbour. Both are very quiant little towns in a beautiful archipelago. You can also charter yachts (which is why I flew up), for some great cruising and exploring harbors. The flights (with Northwest Seaplanes I think, but would have to check) are a quick 50-minute hop on a nice seaplane, and usually I am the only one onboard, so get to wear the headsets, play with buttons, and have a great view.
There is also regular ferry service between the San Juans and Victoria.
