Part of it may be that AA doesn't give Q-Pts (?) for TATL Q or O fare class. So by Travelocity putting that in, they can sell those cheap seats, and not worry about people complaining about not receiving the miles. If this is not the case, I'm sure someone on here will point out the real reason.
