I agree - we're now starting the "silly" travel season, as people start trying to defy the laws of "space" ( if not time). Almost qualifies as entertainment to see what some folks will try to fit in an overhead.

I also agree that better baggage handling is what's needed - then the motivation goes down to lug everything with you.

What's really needed though is CONSISTENCY. Both in baggage and security. I can deal with even seemingly arcane rules and procedures, as long as I can prepare for them. Then everything flows more smoothly and easily. Its when things are non-standard that causes disruptions.
