How Late Before It is Too Late (to file a complaint)??
Hello guys...
Have a slight problem here, hence thought all you experts here might be able to give some words of advice. My friend and I were comparing notes about our SIA experiences yesterday and she recounted a (in my opinion) very bad incident with the FSS on board her flight. She was travelling on LHR-SIN Y and was sitting at the window seat. The flight was rather full, and there was a period of 30 to 40 minutes when she was trying to get the attention of the FSS (waving, eye contact, saying "excuse me" etc). The same FSS walked down the row many times but seemed to ignore my friend for a relatively long period. It got so bad that eventually her seat mate had to help get the attention of the FSS on her behalf, upon which the FSS stopped immediately, flashed her smile and asked him how she could help.
(Funnily, I did not think then of asking my friend how come she did not use the call button...)
Anyway, I thought this is pretty bad service to be ignored for a good 30 minutes before you are being served, and even had to enlist the help of your seatmate.
My question is this though... her flight was actually taken in June. Is it too late now to write an email to SQ customer services regarding this issue? Would the complaint still be taken seriously if it is filed 5 months after the flight? If it makes any difference, my friend is just KF (as with probably half of the rest of the passengers on Y), no status.
