The most important thing to know about the seat is that the correct position for takeoff/landing is not fully up. There is a special button which will move it to the correct position, and on top of the partitions between the seat is a little green LED which lights up to show the cabin crew when your seat is in the correct position. If your seat is not in the correct position, they'll then ask you to adjust it - thus demonstrating newbie-ness

Other things - the footstool swivels to bring it closer to you, and is also height adjustable - neither of these is especially obvious.
