kosky, I wonder if you'd have to go so far as to take the cancelled credit card and the statement with the charge to prove you'd bought the ticket...might depend on the check-in agent's mood that day.
I had a card stolen in Spain and needed it to collect a Eurostar ticket at Waterloo; hadn't put the card on the police report as I'd cancelled it before talking to the police, which did not go over well with the Eurostar fusspot. Very nearly had to leave a DNA sample to get my ticket.
