Guess I should've checked flyertalk earlier. I just got off the phone with AS and apparently my AA O class domestic segment won't earn miles (as supposed to my domestic AS metal AA O class ticket which will). This is rediculous. I get how the airlines make us jump through hoop after hoop with endless terms and conditions. If that's the game they want to play then it is unacceptible to make up terms and conditions that are nowhere in no place indicated to consumers. This could be the difference between MVP or not for me this year and, though I'm not as frequent of a flyer as some, will severely impact how much I fly Alaska.
