As of 5 minutes ago, the latest word from Mileage Plus is that O-fares, even domestic, do NOT earn AS miles. I totally agree, it needs to be made clear for all carriers what fares do and do not qualify for mileage earning. Since most of the time I don't know a fare class until after I've booked the ticket, the unfortunate answer for AA is that I won't consider them!
