My apologies if this has been posted before but the search just seems to hang....

I called American Express to cancel my card yesterday. Felt it was easier to use my Aeroplan Visa card that is accepted everywhere and then have everything on one bill.

I was immediately transferred to someone else who asked me if they waved the $120 annual fee would I keep the card. He told me that there would be announcements shortly on wider acceptance of the card.

So will keep the free card for another year to see what will happen...
