I lived at 655 Irving as a kid (Any Chicagoans remember what it was called before they changed it to Park Place? Sorry, no rewards to give... ), and though we were only on 17, I could absolutely hear the building creek when it was very windy. Not the most comforting thing for a 7 year old, but I got used to it.

I do think it has something to do with construction, though. I've stayed high up at the Hancock before and felt/heard nothing at all. (Though of course, someone who lives there might know different.)
