From the fine print of the Mileathon offer:
If major airport nearest the grand reward recipient's residence is Newark, JFK or LaGuardia, grand reward will not include airfare and no substitution or compensation will be provided.

What a great way to piss off your best customer! In order to qualify for the Grand Prize, you need to not only accumulate over 250+ Mileathon credits (24 First Class tickets would do it), but be within the top three credit earners across the entire promotion.

Now are you telling me, that if one of these people is located in the NY hub area (what, maybe like a one in four/five chance?) that you are not going to give them some sort of voucher/credit for the airfare portion of the promotion?

They were only your best customer during this period! I just can't believe two certificates are that big of a deal!

I also don't get the Gold/Platinum reward in this promotion. I mean if you earn that many credits in such a short period of time, won't you be a decent elite level as a by-product of all the travel?

Fortunately, I won't earn anywhere near that many credits and will not have to concern myself with these details!
