I saw some other posts that showed similar problems but I don't think it was quite the same, so here goes:

I went to expertflyer (thks to all for the referral) to check availability for business class for a trip from L.A. to Mumbai, India. Turns out Swiss Air has availability on two particular days from ZRH to BOM and return in U class. There is also U availability from DFW to ZRH but only on the LX code share of an AA flight. I figuered the domestic portion of this (LA-DFW) can be figured out once I get the international portions confirmed.

When I called to try to book, the agent was unable to find any of these. Is it possible that the availability on the code share only restricts it to someone wanting to book using LX miles only, not AA miles? Or should I just try again with another agent? Thanks.
