Valid points, but with caveats:
1. It's ending, and if you gotta pay for the service, the CO clubs are much nicer; and as both cards have (sort of) reciprocal priviledges, CO wins.
2. Yes, CO's int'l upgrades are difficult and arcane at best, but they often have fare sales which end up pricing at much the same as DL Y/M/B + cert - and - you get the higher class bonuses.
- anyone can take advantage of the fare sales.
I haven't used an int'l upgrade cert for well over a year as I can usually do better elsewhere.
I'm platinum in both programs but I value my CO status so much more that I'm sliding back to permanent Gold in DL in 07. Besides, in planning for the future, DL is a much riskier proposition than CO right now. (It almost pains me to say so - as I have had many good experiences with DL , and have even made some friends there - but it's reality.)
