I imagine that this year there will be a lot of people who have abandoned the QFF like myself due to the May 2005 changes. My membership year ends in February and I currently only have 60 SC. If I receive the "what are your travel plans letter" I'm wondering if I should write back and say "pretty please let me keep my status" or "no I have abandoned QF because of the way they have disregarded their high tier passengers". I am thinking I will probably let QF know what I think of their program and how much better I have been treated since I switched to the CX program (real award availability would be a start amongst other undocumented benefits).
Have any other abandoners received the letter, and what did you do?
Interestingly a friend who had a few huge years a couple of years ago has just been renewed as Plat, without even getting the letter, and less than 300 status credits. Maybe QF knew it was just that he had chnaged job, rather than flying someone else :-)
