Delta pilots striking would be committing suicide. There would be no airline to return to. Management or the court would auction off the remaining assets.
Who has more to lose here, the pilots or management? That should guide your judgement about the likelihood of a pilot strike.
That is not to say that a majority of pilots would not endorse nihilism. But I doubt it. And the aftermath, for quite some time, may not be pretty. And isolated incidents may inconvenience many flyers.
As an insurable event (as in planning fallbacks) I would rate this about the same as bad weather in Atlanta.
