Virgin Blue woos frequent fliers

VIRGIN Blue is set to launch its long awaited frequent flier program.
However, rival Jetstar claims the launch of a loyalty program shows Virgin has had to readjust its vision.
Analysts believe the airline could spend as much as $60 million to grow its market share and increase passenger load by five percentage points over five years.
The program will be launched today in Sydney by Virgin Blue chief Brett Godfrey, following a recent ad campaign promising a "next-generation loyalty program".
But Jetstar claims the program is a sign that Virgin Blue is shedding its budget airline model in order to compete for business customers.
