Yes.

A few months after 9/11, I was detained by agents of a foreign government while on neutral soil (neither my country nor theirs) in what is now more commonly known as somewhat of a "rendition" procedure. I spent 3 days being interrogated and was then released. I subsequently (3 years later) obtained an apology from the government in question and consider the matter forgiven but not forgotten. Those who know me and have followed my posts on this forum over the years know the story and the countries in question.

Just a friendly reminder to the naive that so-called rights being spoken of on this thread mean nothing when the people charged with enforcing the rights are the ones who also seek to violate them.
