I think your request is silly. Your arrival time at gate will not be impacted by the flight deck announcements. I appreciate any flight-related info from the flightdeck, and I understand that they are providing an estimate and there are a number of things outside their control that could change the actual gate arrival time. We are after all talking about the future.
Your proposal to AA to stop providing this information, regardless of how many pax find it relevant, simply because the gate-arrival sometimes ends up later than expected, serves no meaningful purpose, IMHO.
