It is prob something to do with the fact that you are one of 50-300 people on board, if everyone wanted to take a turn flying, we would have to go from LAX-LHR Non stop and I don't think DL wants to put a 777 at risk with that many 'newbies' flyin their prized possession, nor at this time would it be profitable to them.
