Maybe by the time we made it to security, they had thoroughly checked out that Dov Ben Galil fellow, who had had so many mysterious visitors in Tel Aviv during the week. Since we were in Isreal for a little more than three days, they certainly could have thoroughly checked us out long before we got to the security point. We don't have many secrets.
Not that it makes any difference, but it's kind of the other way around: Ben Gurion (or an arm of the Israeli security apparatus, actually) provides security for all of the airlines flying out of TLV.
