I think you are with M&M. It works there w/o a problem.Works also with ANA MC.
It's the first time I hear that M&M would allow that kind of backtracking. After all, we are talking about 5000 extra miles here.
Recently, UA MP made even a big fuzz about MUC-FRA-BKK-HKG (and return) and only allowed it after some negotiating and talking to a supervisor.
