PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE send an e-mail/letter/fax to United with a quick note explaining what you said in your post. Especially emphasize that you gave $1600 in revenue to another airline due solely to their Indian call center.
The more letters we send about this, the more likely that UA will end this disgraceful outsourcing nonsense.
Complaints by customers of other companies have caused management to "de-outsource" similar operations. We can do the same with UA.
