Last time I did the same I was not allowed to check in baggage all the way through via Qantas. I suspect you'll have to take the free airport shuttle bus with your belongings to the Tom Bradley Terminal, check in again & go through security since the buildings are not linked airside. At least you have lots of time to make the connection.
