Hello,
first time here. I am flying from Pittsburgh to LAX on US AIR and have a 3 1/2 hour "layover" until I catch the LAX to Sydney trip on Qantas. I have a few questions:

1. Will I be able to check my bags all the way to Sydney from PIT or do I have to claim them in LAX?

2. This question is only important if I am able to check my bags all the way through: When going from the US AIR terminal in LAX to the international terminal, do I have to go through security? If so, I would need to pick up my boarding pass at the Qantas airline counter as opposed to getting it at the gate.
