South padre island, texas, spring break 1990..

...have u ever wanted to just lie back in a pool under the stars and float? I advise an air matress not a bed matress as the latter tend to sink. Now after launching 4 of these into the pool and have them float for maybe a minute tops we knew this probably wasnt the best plan. Funnily the manager thought it was not amusing at all! Thus the troopers came to pay us a visit, now we had paid a "security" deposit and we told the officers they could take the $$ out of that...which would have been fine, but one of our group didnt know the troopers had arrived and from the 12th floor started firing ice cubes down at as as we were sitting in the hot tub talking to the troopers. Ice cubes from 120' can actually hurt quite a bit. Our yelling at him to stop just egged him on to launch larger room items like the ice bucket, garbage can etc. At this point in time, said troopers had lost all perspective of fun. So 6 guys all got hauled off to Brownsville TX to a holding cell. Needless to say we were the only caucasians in the entire holding area. 5 hours and $300/each and we were on our way back to SPI.
