My partner and I moved to Hong Kong a couple months ago. We actually don't go out very often, but have gained a little bit of knowledge about gay activities here, which I summarize below:

- Studio76 took us to a bar in Sheung Wan called Rice Bar, which was quite nice. Pretty mellow on a weekday. I believe it's on Jervois Street.

- Propaganda is the big club, I believe. Never been. I believe Works is a bar owned by the Propaganda folks. Pretty big, very dark--reminded us of bars back in New York.

- There is a gay "mixer" called Fruits N Suits that meets once a month. We went once--it was OK.

- We walked into a couple bars in TST that felt very neighborhoody, but not very hip. But convenient if you're staying on the Kowloon side, I suppose.

- There's a Friday night happy hour at a bar called Post 97 right in Lan Kwai Fong. Lots of people, kinda loud. Also went once to a Tuesday night happy hour at a bar called Finds, also in LKF, which was alright, a little fancy.

There is a weekly (?) magazine called "G Magazine" here that has listings and maps and such. You can probably find it in any bar. Looking in that mag, it appears there are plenty of gay "saunas" in town, if that's your sort of thing. Also hear that "Middle Bay" is a gay beach on the south side of Hong Kong island, though I have no idea when is a good time to go (not so hot these days, either). Time Out says that the most gay gym here is Seasons Fitness, which is in the Citigroup building.

Hope this helps. Feel free to PM me for any other info. We're new here, but glad to help.
