I think I am learning my lesson being in New Zealand early this year. Yes, I have to have a different approach when I am there. Certainly Tumi rollerbag is not an acceptable one.
I just returned from New Zealand last week. Yes, they do enforce the rules very strictly. When I was going through immigration at Auckland International, they spotted my bulging carry-on bag and directed me to the weighing machine. 6.4kg... just 0.6kg short of the ceiling. I was allowed to go.
